Featured image: Paper Wasp on Prickly Pear Cactus. Every day this summer, I worked outside in my garden, always carrying with me my camera with a macro lens to document the insects in the yard. This wasp was eating some of the cactus, and doing a delicate dance on it, cleaning its legs and antennae and hovering just above the leaf in between bites.
